FACULTIES AND DEPARTMENTS
The college has well established Science and Arts faculties and numerous vocational courses leading to graduate and post graduate degrees. In addition to these courses, departments also offer job-oriented certificate and advanced diploma courses viz. Electrical equipment maintainance, tissue culture, environmental audit, functional english, Korean language. Number of teachers working at present is 106 and number of students intake per year is around 5000 for various courses. Many major and minor projects of UGC , DST , DBT, UNICEF etc. have also been undertaken. The college has tie-ups with international universities such as Griffith University Australia and Kangwan National University South Korea.

Electronics
With a view of keeping abreast the fast emerging technology deeply influencing the activities of the society, in the year 1988 the Department of Electronics was started at A. N. College. Starting with Undergraduate Three years degree course in Electronics, the department later introduced Post-Graduate Course in 1996.Located at the first floor of the "Technical Block", the department is well equipped with all infrastructural facilities. The Department conducts B.Sc.(Hons.) course, M.Sc. Course and PhD Programs in Electronics. The department also conducts a certificate course in Electrical and Equipment Maintenance.
Environmental Science
The Post Graduate Department of Environmental Sciences was started at A.N.College, Patna in 1988. It has the distinction of being the first post graduate department in the Eastern India. The department conducts M.Sc. Courses in Environmental Sciences and PhD programs of Magadh University. The department is housed in "Technical Block" enabling the students to take full advantage of spacious lecture galleries, Library and Laboratory facilities.

The Department of Physics is one of the oldest faculties of the college. The department is housed on the first floor of "Science Block". The under graduate course in physics was started in 1967 and the experience gained through successful running of this course culminated into the start of Post graduate course in 1985. The department also facilitates researches and has well equipped laboratories along with a departmental library.

The under graduate course in Chemistry was started in 1967 and the experience gained through successful running of this course culminated into the start of Post graduate course in 1982.
