The college has well established Science and Arts faculties and numerous vocational courses leading to graduate and post graduate degrees. In addition to these courses, departments also offer job-oriented certificate and advanced diploma courses viz. Electrical equipment maintainance, tissue culture, environmental audit, functional english, Korean language. Number of teachers working at present is 106 and number of students intake per year is around 5000 for various courses. Many major and minor projects of UGC , DST , DBT, UNICEF etc. have also been undertaken. The college has tie-ups with international universities such as Griffith University Australia and Kangwan National University South Korea.
In 1998 the bachelor of Computer Application course was started at the first floor of "Shatabdi bhawan". Later, in the year 2004 the Master of Computer Applications course was introduced. The Department of Computer Application now runs in the ground floor of "Shatabdi Bhawan". The department houses two computer labs with latest "intel" based computer systems and Broadband Internet connection. The department is also associated with active research in the field of computer science.
