Korean Centre for International Cooperation, A. N. College, Patna

Beginning:

1.  The Korean Centre for International Cooperation was established at A. N. College on 07 February 2007, inaugurated by Shri      Sushil Kumar Modi, Honorable Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and Dr. R. Krishna Kumar, OSD (Universities), Raj Bhawan.

    a. The establishment of the Korean Centre was in the light of the letter, No. Xdev (773/05)169/05 dated 17/12/2005 from the         respected Vice Chancellor of Magadh University, which permits A. N. College, Patna to enter into agreement for international          mutual collaboration.
    b. The Development Committee of A. N. College, Patna accepted the proposal of establishment of Korean Centre for          International Cooperation on 23 November 2006 as shown on the letter from the then principal Prof. Dr. Sita Ram Singh, Ref          No G/902/06.
    c. The Korean Centre for International Cooperation was inaugurated at A. N. College (Dr. Sita Ram Singh, Principal) on7         February 2007 by Shri Sushil Kumar Modi, Honorable Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and Dr. R. Krishna Kumar, OSD          Universities), Raj Bhawan in understanding between WCM and Magadh University in order to promote academic, cultural and          developmental partnership between Bihar and South Korea.
    d. The office bearers and faculties of Korean Centre for International Cooperation made a resolution on 08 February 2007 to          start Proficiency in Korean Language course at the Korean Centre for International Cooperation. The Korean language class          was launched on 04 July 2007. Since then, 5 consecutive batched have been run, instructing more than 100 students.

Dr. Sita Ram Singh (Principal, A. N. College) & Dr. Randhir Singh (A. N. College) attended/visited Korean University, International Conference of World Canaan Farmers Movement, International Seminar by the department of Public Administration, Gangwon National University, Deputy Governor, Waste Management Facility of Chuncheon City, Korean Foundation for World Aid, Canaan Farmers School, etc.

Dr. Bum Il Kim, Dr. Young Gil Lee, Dr. Myung Joong Kwon (Yonsei University, South Korea) & Mr. Young Choon Cho, meeting with His Excellency President of India Dr. Abdul Kalam regarding development of Bihar and international partnership, New Delhi. Dr. Kwon made a presentation to His Excellency regarding Policy Choices of Korean Government throughout Developmental History of South Korea.
