National Service Scheme (NSS)

NSS is a very active corps of students at A N College. It runs through two units; one comprising of Boys and other that of Girls. Both the units are full to their maximum capacity.

NSS units of our college excel in third dimension of education extending campus to community work. Girls & Boys’ units of NSS act as unifying link among students across the departments in the college under the leadership of the respective programme officers Dr Poornima Shekhar Singh, Dept of Geography and Dr Subhash Prasad Singh, Dept of Chemistry.

NSS organizes exciting activities all the year round for personality building of students through social work. There are several specialized student interest groups to cater to more focused interest. A group of likeminded volunteers with strong interest in various fields results in excellent performance at Local, Regional, State and National level. It not only stands for social upliftment, environmental awareness and enrichment but also join hands with nation for providing help to the people at the time of need and natural calamities.

Numerous regular activities have been conducted during 2010-2011 inside and outside college campus and in adopted slum i.e., Rajbanshinagar slum near Electricity Board Office, Patna. The NSS volunteers of A N College, Patna enshrine the philosophy of this shloka in their day to day life.
